On the Issues

For 21 years, I’ve been in the classroom, where I’ve seen firsthand that teachers are the foundation of our community. But as a School Board Director, I’ve also seen how the ‘systems’ in Harrisburg are failing our kids. Our current funding model is unconstitutional and puts an unfair burden on local taxpayers. I’m running to fix the system so that cyber charter schools stop siphoning away our hard-earned tax dollars and every student in District 142 has a safe, modern place to learn.
We need a representative who doesn't just talk about education but understands the classroom, the boardroom, and the budget.

As a mother of three, I know exactly what it feels like to balance a family budget while the costs of groceries and utilities keep rising. I’m raising three daughters; ninth, fifth, and third graders. I’m running to ensure that when they grow up, they can actually afford to buy a home and build a life right here in our community. Our seniors, who have given so much to this district, deserve to retire with dignity and not be taxed out of their homes.
My husband and I run a small family business, and we know that families are struggling. In Harrisburg, I will fight for an economy that works for everyone. I believe our working families deserve more.

As a union officer and a small business owner, I’ve seen that when we treat workers with dignity, our entire community thrives. We negotiated a contract in my district that was praised for being both member-supported and taxpayer-friendly. We proved that we can support our workers without hurting our neighbors. It’s time to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania. A living wage isn't just a 'cost'; it’s an investment in our local economy. I’m ready to lead with respect and find the synergy needed to build an economy that works for everyone.

Public safety is about listening to the people who actually live in the neighborhood. Right now, the PennDOT RC3 Project is moving forward without the community’s concerns addressed. I’ve spent my career 'Breaking Bread' to find common ground, but I also know when it’s time to step up and say 'no.' I strongly oppose the RC3 project in its current form. We cannot ignore the safety concerns, environmental risks, and impacts on quality of life.I will be the voice in Harrisburg that demands PennDOT respects our residents, because when our community’s safety is on the line, I will not sit back.
